Setting up CaptureOnTouch for the Canon imageFORMULA DR-2510C scanner lets you combine document scanning and file saving into a single action. The setup relies on a simple two-step configuration workflow: defining your document scan settings and choosing your output destination. 1. Installation & Hardware Preparation

Download New Drivers: Avoid using older bundled software CDs. Download the latest ISIS/TWAIN driver and CaptureOnTouch software from the Canon Support Page to ensure modern operating system compatibility.

Toggle Auto Start: Locate the physical Auto Start switch on the back of the scanner and slide it to the ON position.

Connect and Power On: Hook the scanner up to your computer using a USB cable. Open the document feed tray to automatically power the unit on. 2. Configure “Select Document” Settings

Open the CaptureOnTouch application and navigate to the Select Document column on the left side of the panel. Click the pencil (edit) icon or New Document to adjust parameters:

Color Mode: Choose between Full Color, Grayscale (high detail), Black and White (smallest file sizes), or Detect Auto.

Resolution: Set the detail level. For everyday workplace text paperwork, 200 DPI or 300 DPI provides the ideal balance of readability and compact file size.

Scanning Side: Select Simplex for single-sided pages, Duplex for two-sided pages, or choose Skip Blank Page to automatically filter out empty sheets from a combined stack.

Image Correction: Check the boxes for Deskew (to automatically straighten sideways papers) and Text Orientation Rotation to automatically rotate flipped pages. 3. Configure “Select Output” Settings

Move to the Select Output section on the right side of the screen to choose how files are handled post-scan:
